19 Minutes 45 Seconds Worth Sitting Still For

February 26, 2008 - 20:46 — Laurent Haug
Media name:
BusinessWeek
Coverage date:
11 Feb 2008

Yes, everyone may be talking up the news and happenings coming out of the D.I.C.E. Summit in Las Vegas – I’ve found The Escapist’s coverage particularly good – but some insanely interesting ideas also came out of the LIFT conference held early last week in Geneva, Switzerland. I don’t want to crush too hard on Electronic Arts’ (ERTS) Mythic Entertainment division, but Creative Director Paul Barnett’s talk at the show about MMO’s is one of the most non-geek accessible I’ve ever heard and it manages to smartly analogize the games industry to both films and Las Vegas without being heavy handed. It’s also funny. Check it out below as well as all the other talks here.
