Born in 1971, France Cadet, is a French Artist whose work raises questions about the various aspects and debates of science: danger of possible accidents, observation of animal and human behaviour, artificialisation of life, side effects of cloning... She has run many robotics courses for many years now and teaches robotic in Fine-Arts School of Aix-en-Provence. She first studied sciences before coming to Fine-Arts. Her work gathers those two interests. It has been recently exhibited in Tokyo, ARS Electronica, Lille2004, ARCO 04, Roger Pailhas gallery, La Vilette, Palais de Tokyo? awarded last year from VIDA 6.0, an Art & Artificial Life International Competition and this year for Digita Awards in Tokyo, it has also been purchased by the MEIAC: the Contemporary Art Museum of Badajoz in Spain.

Relying on France Cadet's project, France and Regine Debatty will discuss the implications of specific interactive art projects that deal with animal and human behaviour, artificialisation of life, side effects of cloning. This will offer insights and relevant perspectives about how such projects questions current social and political trends.
