Ausland Ventures specialises in projects that unite art and architecture. The company is run by Sophie Bouvier Auslander and Emmanuel Ventura.
Notably, Ausland Ventures develops projects involving programmable and downloadable smart fabrics under the brand name Expertex ©.
Emmanuel Ventura was born in 1966. He is a FAS architect, and a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique Federale of Lausane. He has been collaborating with Bernard Tschumi and Luca Merlini for many years in Paris, New York and Lausanne where he moved to in 1997. Under the name of M+V architects, Merlini and Ventura architects, www.mplusv.ch, he has participated in numerous competitions in Switzerland and abroad. In particular, he designed scenery for the theatre, participated in the planning of the Swiss national exhibition EXPO 01 in Neuchâtel, transformed and renovated regional CFF train stations and built the âinterface des transports, Place of Europeâ in Lausanne.
He taught for two years at the Strasbourg school of architecture. He is currently working on differents projects in particular on the new M2 metro stations in Lausanne, under the name of TMV architects. Emmanuel Ventura's work explores the themes of movement and perception in all his projects and productions.
