I work as research scientist at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland. My work concerns the community development with a focus on aspects such as information society and technological change, intelligent and digital cities. I'm involved as main researcher in Technological Futures Forum (www.vtt.fi\tff). Social media is one of my latest fields of interest. In fact I'm currently working for VTT's SOMED project (Social media in the crossroads of the physical, digital, and virtual worlds / future perspectives). Because of my background in geography, the use of maps in WEB 2.0 applications is my special interest in this field. SOMELA (Social media lab) experimental website will be published on April 19, 2007.
