Dr. Dimitris Protopsaltou is a senior researcher at MIRALab. He received his PhD in Social and Economic Science (concentration Information Systems) from the University of Geneva in 2007. He is a University of Manchester (UMIST) graduate holding a B.Eng in Software Engineering and an M.Sc in Technology Management from the Manchester School of Management. From 2003 to 2006 he has been involved with research in online collaboration in the context of an FNRS funded project in online dispute resolution (in collaboration with the Faculty of Law of the University of Geneva). Currently he is working in the area of synchronous and distributed collaboration, and in particular on virtual shared workspaces for online arbitration. Furthermore he has particular interest in web graphics and virtual clothing. He has contributed to the EU projects E-Tailor, Tex-Map, Web-Dance. Currently he is participating in the EU project Leapfrog IP and CA.
