Bio

Wendy has over twenty years⤙ international foresight experience in academic, government, and business organisations, with topics as varied as telecommunications; justice and adjudication; LNG and global natural gas markets; future submarine design; higher education; and environmental management. She has worked in Japan, Croatia, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, Finland, the USA, and the UK, among other locales. She earned her Ph.D. in Alternative Futures at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa, and for ten years worked as research faculty designing participative policy projects for the Hawaii Research Center for Futures Studies. Between 1996-2001, she was visiting faculty with the Masters program in Studies of the Future at the University of Houston ⤓ Clear Lake. Dr. Schultz is a Fellow of the World Futures Studies Federation, an Executive Board Member of the Association of Professional Futurists, and sits on the International Advisory Board of the European Futurists Conference Lucerne. Recent clients include the UK Department of Environment, Food, and Rural Affairs; the Club of Amsterdam; the UK Office of Science and Innovation⤙s Horizon Scanning Centre of Excellence; and the UK Health and Safety Executive. Defining characteristics: futures collector; early adopter; media addict.
