GAMING

Robin Hunicke is both an academic and practitioner and works for Electonic Arts. She is designing games for the Nintendo Wii (such as My Sims). Robin gave an overview of the digital game topic.
games are more and more difficult to create, because of some new social behaviors due to the web2.0.we have entered the play 2.0 era.
"game design is a literacy"
the user feels the need now not to be AT the center of the game, but really THE center of it.
facebook is a good example for a new game dynamic,and it is the main model and way of communication,most of teenagers use today.

fun=problematic

power=hard to simulate

dynamic=difficult

but it has to result in any kind of new experience.

Guy Vardi, from Oberon Media, talked about casual gaming and the evolutions in that field.
after an amazing and great introduction through a fast commented animation(excellent!it rocks),he explained how the casual games audience slowly splited ,with time.(history of casual game...).
facebook is a wonderfull opportunity to develop a new kind of casual games.this platform can target everyone,so your profile,YOU become a casual game.and casual games are not only thought for housewives anymore,which represents an interesting point we it comes to benefits and economy...
