VISION: Amazee’s vision is to become the world’s largest social collaboration platform.
TREND: As Internet users and tools are maturing we believe that the web will increasingly be used to build up power. People will gather around common goals, not only interests. Attention will be given to those users that know how to use the web to take influence and achieve things. Internet users will fulfil their need for social recognition by leading remarkable projects and letting other users participate in that process.
GOAL: We will provide the world with an Internet based social collaboration platform. People will be allowed to unite behind a common goal (on a local or global level), organize and publicize the respective project and find the required resources (sponsors, promoters, experts, volunteers) to achieve the project goal.
UNIVERSALITY: There are no restrictions to project themes as long as they are legal and legitimate. Individuals can pursue project goals in whatever area: fun, sports, social, charitable, ecological, you name it. Amazee will stand for people who move the world and all those subjects that make people move. Our mission is not to make the world a better place (well, if this happens we’ll be more than delighted) but to provide Amazee users with the most user-friendly tools to pursue and share the goals that seem most important to them.
INFOTAINMENT: Amazee strives to be fun for participative and passive users. With our platform featuring plenty of user-generated content, we aim to become a prime source of information and entertainment. Amazee will allow people to participate in the medial process by reporting, discussing, rating and commenting on project activities – or entering the project as a member or as a sponsor.
SOFTWARE: The platform is being built on the PHP based open-source software Drupal.
MEMBERSHIP: The basic membership will be free of charge for users. Amazee aims to generate revenues from premium memberships with access to additional functionalities and by providing 3rd parties with advertising and sponsoring space on our platform.
TIMELINE: Our basic alpha version will be available for private testing in a few weeks and we plan to go live with the beta version in Spring 2008. Watch it!
