Sociologist
University of Geneva
After a quite long experience as engineer in computers and networks, I finally became sociologist. Not giving up my interest for technology, I am doing a PhD focusing on a burning issue, namely the fact that we spread a considerable amount of data by using everyday life devices. I argue that we have to go beyond the current privacy based critics because providing protection of the individual, althought necessary, is not enough to have a whole understanding of the problem.

Interests: privacy, surveillance, data protection, big brother, social control
