NLab Social Networks Conference 19/20 June 2008 Leicester, UK.
The Conference focuses on the impact, challenges and benefits of social networking for small businesses. With the new Eurostar terminal at St Pancras International, Leicester is just 75 minutes away from London - we'd be delighted to see LIFTers at the Conference! http://www.nlabnetworks.com

Shani Lee is a trainer and business adviser who specialises in small business support, social enterprise and community regeneration. She is currently the Co-ordinator for Narrative Laboratory (NLab), run by Professor Sue Thomas in the Faculty of Humanities at De Montfort University.

She was the lead developer for IdeaSpark, a business start up project built around social learning theories, and created the Takeaway Training Club, an innovative informal learning project. Previously, Shani was Director of CDS Training for Enterprise, which set up the first industry-standard digital media training centre in Merseyside, and ran Braunstone Employment Project, a neighbourhood economic development unit.

Shani is interested in how social media offers new opportunities for business development, and how it can be used to enhance social and economic inclusion.
