Thanks!!

We were discussing about this website where people can post their wishes for open-source programs or extensions. Once a user defines such wish in terms of requirements, he puts some money. Other people that have the same wish, puts also some money. Then, one they have some fair amount, a developer is paid to program it.

(I guess that there are similar websites around)

For instance, some time ago I asked to extend "Unison" (a file synchronization tool) to support Unicode. I put 60 Euros. Since then, two people felt that they had also the same need, and added 30 and 25 Euros each.
Now some developer (maybe the original Unison developer) can get 115 Euros to develop this extension.
