Here's a quick hack to try if you're having problems with the spotty wifi on a Mac running Leopard: open up a terminal window and enter the following :
dscacheutil -flushcache
This clears the DNS cache of old entries, and stops the "can't load the site even when the network's up" problem. This doesn't apply if you're running Tiger, though, it seems to be just a Leopard issue.
